We interrupt this programme called "work" and bring you a word from our sponsors....
Cats
.

They're just sooooo cute! This one posed for the camera looking so regal... sitting up, back curled and tail wrapped around its paws. It didn't even move when I moved in real close to take a photo. Occasionally it'd open its eyes just to see if I was still there. I just love watching and playing with cats. But i'd never own one. As beautiful as they are, they're temperamental too. I prefer wrestling with dogs. There's a lower chance that they'll get fed up with you pulling their ears and dragging them to the ground and decide to chomp your arm off. In fact, one of my pastimes is dog-wrestling. Part of the act is to actually put your arm in the dogs mouth and let him play-chomp on it (it's actually safer than putting your hand in cos the bones in the arm are hardier).

And that, sums up my weekend in a nutshell. Work has dulled my brain. And now, back to writing and back to statistics.

shiny happy people
weddings. nice to meet up with old friends
and family members far-flung. nice to
suspend the anxiety of life
and the uncertainties of death.
A new life ahead? Maybe it's time to
let go of old friends and
old habits. But sometimes it's hard
to understand why and how some
things turn out a certain way.
Maybe it's for the best. Maybe there's
no way to move forward unless you give it
all away and never look back
except to reminisce old times in
nostalgic indulgence.

A Fishy, Leafy, sixty, post- exam party

Andrea and I went for that fish therapy thingy opposite St Alphonsus Church (aka NOVENA)... it was soooo fun! Kinda freaky cos the fish a huge-r than you would think, and once they start sucking on your foot its like ticklish all over right up to your knee (cos you'll be going 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' while uncontrollably tensing up your leg muscles to try to control the tickles). 15 minutes in, chomp chomp chomp, then they scrub your foot for you. Another 15 minutes in. And don't worry, the fish are like my grandpa... they have no teeth.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Attended a flurry of wedding lunches and dinners. Of note however, were Doren and Shaik's antics. Give Doren a flower and he'll turn it into an elaborate flower arrangement. Give Shaik a shot of whiskey and he'll down the whole bottle. BUT give these buggers a LEAF.... Ahhhhhh!

For my mum's 60th birthday, we named a new hybrid after her. It's internationally certified and cost my dad a BOMB. So the next time you see this at a flower show, don't be surprised that its called PARANENTHERA ANNIE PEREIRA. You can't really see the details in the picture, but it's a really pretty hybrid. Happy birrrdddaaayyy mummmeeeeee!

And last but not least, a nice quiet drink with some new friends at Zouk winebar. Didn't take a photo with everyone else cos they were all drunk. Here are the only three sober kids! Only Andrea missing from the picture... but she's enjoying herself in Japan! :P bleah
