Someone wrote a letter to the forum today saying he and his family were "very concerned" about MM Lee's comments on 'liberalizing' laws regarding homosexuality. Paraphrased:
"Singapore is a wholesome place. One does not find pornography sold openly in a neighbourhood shop. Singapore faces a declining birthrate and legalizing homosexuality would compound this problem, given that homosexual couples do not reproduce.What would it be like to have a homosexual teach our children that it is normal to be gay? Homosexuals lead a promiscuous and hedonistic lifestyle. What else can you expect when you do not have children to live for or be in a loving and commited relationship? This increases the risk of STDs etc."Sigh.

What the heck is a KNN "wholesome" place, you COCK! Let me take you to Geylang, Joo Chiat, Paramount Hotel, Tanjong Pagar. Can't find porn? It just means (1) you're a moron and (2) obviously if you don't look for something you won't find it anyway. And promiscuity? Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. What would it be like to have someone teach your kid "deviant" values? Is to acknowledge the diversity of human preference as bad as say, someone teaching your kid to take drugs, smoke, go binge drinking, cut themselves, fuck around? I seriously doubt it.
