Strange New New Year.
Spent the countdown in Church. How 180 degrees is that? The only alcohol there was on the altar during mass and in
Ivan's dodgy paper bag. But it was quite an exciting experience and a fulfilling one with so many friends around. Even my darling
tau Pok came down to join us (me) even though she'd rather be sailing than braving the crowds just to listen to me sing out of tune. The organization of the event was just
poor, with no allowance for sessions overrunning their allotted time. But as
Justin said, of course, praising God takes precedence over music performances, but as Justin also said and I agree,
It sucks being a sideshow.
In the end, me,
daniel,
mel,
charkwa,
ajie,
justin,
Ivan, and
Annette still managed to perform, though it was a pity that
Mel didn't get to sing her solo... it was a good solo. Oh well, i guess she can always put it away for another performance and rehash it when needed, eh?
Thanks for the swell new years, guys.
Memories of the night:
Seeing everyone kneeling in the carpark with umbrellas before the Eucharist.
Annette, Daniel and me under a damn small umbrella trying to take our own picture without falling over. Cheese! oops only got half an Annette (wonder why...) :P.
Andrea coming to listen to me croak. :)
ah Geow, Junie, happy mimi, and everyone else in MM waving, clapping, and singing along to Testify to Love.
Little girl unsuccessfully (cos she was too short) running up to the stage to take a photo of us, but nonetheless looking very happy with only taking my foot.
Justin's show-off riff for All Things New. Hao Lian Lah!
ciao 2006/2007 hola!
