Today I found out that we're re-arranging the two work-lounge rooms again. The few of us who use the room most frequently decided that we'd prefer a more "homely" feel to the room and combine workstations and couches (since we all talk and make monkey sandwiches there anyway), and shift the work shit entirely to the next room. When i thought "homely" i immediately thought of leaving my wet underwear on the chair or something. Today i also discovered that people's ideas of "homely" is really quite varied.
When we first had the room we decided that noone should get too comfortable to the extent of "claiming" any table for their own, that the tables were to be free-for-all. Based on that agreement, I was more than willing to just shift (not throw away) people's stuff without asking them first. As far as i am concerned, it was in the agreement at the beginning of the year. Others said it was not so nice that we should give people time to move their stuff. Oh well, maybe i'm too quick to pick a fight with people as is my right. It's funny.. it's like you can't move stuff because of Union rules... but only here Union rules are self-policed.
I wonder if I will be someone who can hold on to a job for a long time and be effective at it, or be fired the very first day for yelling at my wholly ineffective colleagues and bosses.
